1.) The number one way to protect yourself is to buy from USA Based companies.

- Most fly by night replica watch websites ship their watches from China, Philipenes, Thailand, and other asian countries. This is bad because once you get the watch it is extremely difficult to return exchange or receive a refund. ( most offshore companies ship using EMS.  )

- If you need to send the watch back for any reason you will pay a heafty postage fee to get the watch back to them, and then hope to be taken care of.

- Customs will often confiscate the watch which will really complicate things.

2.) Protect yourself and pay with your credit card. Your credit card comapny will always listen to you first...

- Never pay with western union, money order, cash, or paypal, unless you have dealt with then several times befor. We hear horor stories all the time about customers sending western union and receiving a low grade cheep watch. Or worst they dont receive anything at all.  

4.) Make sure they have a working telephone number and they speak English, or a language you are able to understand. A lot of sites have a telephone but never answer the darn thing.

- leave a message and expect a return phone call.

5.) Send them an email and see if you get a reply within a reasonable time frame. Ask specific questions, make sure they dont have an automated email reply. This will give you a heads up on how their customer service will be.

6.) Studying their watch pictures is a very good way of spotting a scam site selling fake watches .

- Most repritable replica watch sites photograph their own watches. NON repritable sites like to barrow pictures from other sites.

- Do not buy from any replica watch site that uses the picture of the original watch. If you are not sure ask, and do a little investigation. No replica is 100% like the original brand. So you really need to see what you are going to receive.

- ways to spot stolen pictures. mismatched photos, blurred out watermarks, cut out water marks, old low quality pictures, you see the same picture on other sites, exact same templates on numerouse sites.
